the students’ rights

The College observes the students’ rights. In other words, the college observes a number of commitments towards its students. These commitments have been based on the standards of quality adopted in the Arab universities. Therefore, the College of Dentistry is exerting all efforts possible to carry out and assure these standards for the students. Paragraphs of such commitments are as follows:

1. The College is responsible for providing the students with declarative and indicative brochures for introducing services to be enjoyed by the students.

2. The College is responsible for preparing a unit of psychological and educational guidance. This unit’s mission is to provide all assistances required for the students.

3. The College is responsible for providing the students with units concerned with developing their talents.

4. The College is responsible for providing the students with safe and comfortable lodging in the dormitories of the University of Basra.

5. The College is responsible for providing the female students with private, safe and comfortable rooms in the different colleges and departments.

6. The College undertakes periodic studies to seek the views of students about the services offered to them, including sports activities, university campuses, restaurants, car parks and the like.

7. The College is responsible for providing the advanced students with financial and spiritual incentives.

8. The College is responsible for issuing an annual brochure containing the names of the graduates.

9. The College is responsible for attaching importance to the extracurricular activities for strengthening the relationships between the teaching staff and the students.
